Application Engineer I (Hardware for MB) (Shanghai)

Job Description:

-		Develop system board for IC validation.
-		Work on IC function verification and performance test.
-		Develop evaluation board for demonstration and evaluation.

Qualification:

-		BSEE with minimum 2-year or MSEE with minimum 1-year experience in hardware development
-		Familiar with high-speed memory system: Intel-based PC system, chipset, DDR memory system, high speed interconnects bus and SMBus
-		Familiar with FPGA design/programming and board design
-		Experience with system test/ASIC validation methodologies
-		Experience in PCB layout
-		Familiar with lab equipments, such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.

1.		STB SOC:
	-	Deep understanding of cable/satellite/terrestrial SD/HD STB markets
	-	Familiar with:
		- SOC system architecture - MPEG/H.264/AVS/audio/video decoder - PAL/NTSC/SECAM encoder - CPU core and memory system - CA system, including advanced security, related standards and encryption algorithm, as well as related interfaces such as ISO7816, DVB-CI/CI+ etc. - Data and control interface such as DDR2/3, Ethernet, HDMI, SD/MMC, I2C, SPI UART….. - Related standards and applications, as well as performance evaluation
2.		DTV frond-end
	-	Deep understanding for DTV front-end markets including STB/iDTV and mobile/portable applications
	-	Familiar with:
		- Channel demodulator for DVB-C/C2, DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2, DTMB, CMMB, ISDB-T etc - Silicon tuner with different architectures such as Low IF/Zero IF etc - Related receiver specification and performance evaluation - Key competitor’s product information
3.		Digital synchronization network
	-	Deep understanding of digital synchronization network market
	-	Familiar with:
		- Digital synchronization network and related standards - System architecture of line card and clock card, and the application in different telecom systems - General principle off DPLL and key parameters of clock generator - Key competitor’s product information - Key features and performance required by telecom giants, such as Huawei, ZTE, etc
