Senior Analog Engineer

Montage Semiconductor, Inc., located at 3955 Johns Creek Ct., Suite 300, Suwanee, GA 30024, is seeking a Senior Analog Engineer responsible for the design of analog circuits used in memory interface (eSPD, CXL) and Power Management (PMIC) devices. The duties include:

  1. Designing and developing analog circuits for memory interface and power management devices and creating schematics and selecting appropriate components to meet power, performance, and area targets;

  2. Generating detailed schematic diagrams for analog circuits, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards, considering factors such as voltage levels, current requirements, and interface compatibility;

  3. Conducting logical and transistor-level simulations using tools to verify the functionality and performance of analog circuits and identifying and resolving any design issues that may arise during simulation;

  4. Performing parasitic extraction to model and account for parasitic elements in the circuit to assure circuit performance, and accurate modeling for optimization;

  5. Working on the layout of the analog circuits, taking into consideration manufacturing constraints and ensuring that the design is robust and reliable, and collaborating with layout engineers to ensure that the physical layout matches the schematic design;

  6. Performing optimization of analog circuits to meet power, performance, and area targets while refining the circuit design, component selection, or topology to achieve the desired goals;

  7. Collaborating with other engineering teams, such as validation engineer, firmware engineer, and software engineer, to integrate analog circuits into the overall system design;

  8. Developing test plans and conducting rigorous testing and validation of the analog circuits, including bench testing, and working with automated test equipment to verify functionality and performance;

  9. Identifying and addressing any issues that arise during the design and testing phases and refining the circuit design to resolve problems as well as assessing potential risks and challenges associated with the analog circuit designs and developing mitigation strategies on circuits; and

  10. Maintaining complete set of documentation of the design process, including design specifications, simulation results, layout details, and test procedures.
